"Leviton 3", by Quang Ho

"I love this painting by Quang Ho, born in Vietnam in 1963, and emigrated to the US when he was 12. Quang is firmly grounded in the figurative, but once in a while drifts off in music-like dreamscapes. Colours and shapes fade, as if they’re on their way to some other destination.

Like these ladies in the water. They’re headed for the light, falling in from the left. While we are looking to their feet, legs, bodies, dresses, the summer sun might already be on their faces. But, in my eyes, that’s not what the painting is about." (...)
