I’m always searching for twists and distortions of reality, that are strange and surprising. Familiar surroundings suddenly manifesting themselves in a weird way, and so one’s look is fresh, new, detached. Sometimes I find this sensation in books, movies, and I certainly find it in the paintings I make.
My paintings often start with collages digitally assembled of photographs. Most of the time ‘by hand’ with Photoshop, but more and more frequently by self written software generating pictures on the basis of my own preferences – or simply arbitrary.
