In my work I explore what today is motivating people, what’s triggering them, and how. Are they driven by idealistic motives, or by hedonism, or animism? Do they consider their mobile phones as purely material, or as entities with a soul? I’m creating objects, installations, paintings in which these elements are depicted.
Francisca Rosner is painting since 2005. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, at the Academy in New York and followed a short fashion training. Fashion is a recurring theme in her work. “I got lots of inspiration from fashion magazines, and the catwalk fascinates me: the way of walking, the color schemes and combinations.” The extravert color schemes are typical of her paintings. “Abstract, but not quite.”
